About Me

Joe Webb La Fontaine was born in the US and raised in Pocomoke City, Maryland.

As a kid he had a great family life enriched with the true valves of truth and Christian Valves.
As a very young boy Joe was always interested in singing and started in church singing hymns.
He used to study the TV watching and studying shows like Sony & Cher, Tom Jones and of course the Ed Suvilan Show which he got to enjoy and be amazed by such Artist as Elvis, The Bealtes, James Brown and so many more. Of course Country Music was in the house and this also had a great influence in later days of Joe’s development of his own singing style. So many Motown Artist was also in the ears and singers like Ray Charles and Sam Cooke were also big influences. BUT then came the true „Heart” from Joe as the Rock Scene began to grow. Bands like Grand Funk Railroad, Led Zeppelin, Thin Lizzy, Styx, Allmann Bros Band, Queen, and so many more were Blasting away in the car radio every night and day.  A combination of all the great influences and pioneers in the Music Industry formed the Vocal abilities that Joe uses today.
 
Joe started his first singing career at the High School Talent show singing for the first time on stage live a song by Chicago „25 or 6 to 4….after this day it was too late to look back. Joe formed his first Band called Aerial with close friends and that was the beginning of what was to become a life time Journey……“Aerial’s” Home Base was the „StarLight Club” and there Joe started to get his first taste of singing and playing live. WOW a lot of great memories happen in these first few years says Joe…..After some time he went from playing the Local Club circuits and writing and recording his first Orginal Album with his Band RoadStar, Joe decided to move to the Philadelphia area to continue his Goal and Visions to become a full time Musician. There he had the opportunity to tour, play and meet many people in the Music Business and also had the chance to play with great Professional Musicians from diverse styles and genres which helped to build a solid foundation for the years ahead.

Long Road

With a great interest for not being just a Musician who takes the Stage and sings his Heart out, Joe was always interested for what goes on behind the Scenes. It started out with Live Technic and learning everything that it takes to put on a Concert from small Clubs with 100 persons up to Open Air Concerts – Stadiums – Concert Halls of every size with tens of thousands of people.  Then came the behind the scenes from Studio and Music – Video Production work….both of these worlds were for Joe a fantastic challenge to learn more about the entire Music Industry.

Over the years Joe was able to live out his Visions and formed his own Media and Concert Technic Company which lead him from Nashville – New York and almost all the entire European countries. This included a World Class Professional Recording & Media Studio here in Germany.

Joe besides Touring and playing Live is a accomplished Songwriter,  Senior Recording Engineer and Music Producer. His arrangements are well known for their originality, creativity and skilled definition. He is careful to remain true to what is his believes and deep valves in his own original recordings, while bringing his own positive musical flair to each rendition. He has performed as a vocalist with former and original members of the bands Charlie Daniels Band, Cinderella and many others. Also doing Cover Versions of some of the most challenging rock vocals ever recorded to include Toto, Bon Jovi, Boston, Aerosmith, Kansas, Led Zeppelin, Styx, Europe, Deep Purple, Allmann Bros Band, Bad Company, Iron Maiden, Survivor, and so many more to menage here. Last but not least it was his honor to sing a Double Queen Tribute CD. Throughout the years Joe continued writing, recording and producing his own Music for diverse International Record Companies as well as his own In-House Independent Label. In his spare time Joe has been writing a book on and about this “Long Road” and all his experiences.

– As a Musician Joe has played on stages large and small across the World, with an estimate of over 4000 Live Concerts or Shows throughout his long Musician Journey. 
 
– His career as a Studio Audio Engineer has took him from places like Nashville -New York and then extending to Germany, England and other European Countries. He studied Acoustic Design and then self-built and managed his own Professional Recording Studio facility in Germany and Produced a wide range of countless Audio Productions – Sound Design – Audio for Video – Music Videos and much more. This covered almost every Genre from Classical – Jazz – Rock – Pop – Country – Hip Hop and…….. “You-name it….We did it…….
 
– As a Live Mixing Engineer for Tours and Bands the list is well into the thousands which covers both FOH -Monitor and IEM Mixing responsibilities. With his 
Event Company he has covered the complete European Continent by suppling the Management – Planning and Technical Audio-Video -Stage and Lighting Equipment for almost ever type of large and small Concerts – Events Venues. This includes Stadiums and Open Air Concerts up to 30 thousands persons. 
 
– He spent almost the last 25 Years doing Street Youth Work in Europe, which was always the very Heart of his Vision. This covered a wide spectrum of activities from Youth Tours with 60 Kids on a Tour Bus and two Transporters full of Live Equipment, to Instrument-Vocal-Band Coaching, Live & Studio Workshops – Seminars, Motivational Speeches at Youth Camps – Schools and Christian Youth Organizations.
